Tanning guidelines

We’re here to help you take care of your skin while achieving the perfect tan.
Follow our tanning guidelines to get the best results while keeping your skin safe:

  1. Determine Your Skin Type
Understanding your skin type is key to knowing if sunbed tanning is suitable for you and how long your first session should be. We’ll guide you through a skin type assessment during your first visit to our studio or when you register as a member.
  2. Stick to the Right Session Length
Always choose a session length that matches your skin type. More frequent visits or longer sessions won’t necessarily give you deeper results. Remember: a good tan takes time.
  3. Leave Time Between Sessions
Ensure you leave at least 24 hours between tanning sessions (48 hours if it’s your first time or if you are a skin type 2). If you’ve been out in the sun, wait 24 (or 48) hours before using a sunbed, and vice versa.
  4. Protect Sensitive Areas
If you choose to tan naked, be sure to protect sensitive areas like underarms, buttocks, and nipples. Gradually expose these areas by covering them halfway through your session on your first few visits.
  1. Maximise Your Results with Tanning Enhancers
Boost your tan with specially formulated tanning lotions designed for indoor use. These enhancers nourish your skin and contain Tyrosine, which helps your skin produce more melanin for faster, deeper results.
  2. Moisturise Daily
Keep your tan looking great by moisturizing daily between sessions.
  3. Protect Your Eyes
Simply closing your eyes isn’t enough to prevent UV damage. Always wear proper eye protection, available for purchase at all of our studios.
  4. Be Aware of Medication Effects
If you’re on any medication, consult the information leaflet or your doctor before tanning. Some medications, like St. John’s Wort or certain antibiotics, may increase sensitivity to UV light.
